10/6/2023 0 Comments Holly haven rv parkWe own a range extender that reaches up to 2 miles (w/o obstructions) and even it had issues staying connected at this campground. NOTE: To be fair and honest, in our experience, many campgrounds have internet connectivity issues mostly depending upon location from any available hotspots. We were located just about 6 sites away from the main office and still had internet connection issues. Kings Holly Haven RV park's WI-FI is almost as bad. Cell Phone reception (3G/4G on Sprint/T-Mobile) is already unreliable in the area despite full bars. We are travelers and home-school our daughter. BUT, if internet is a need or a strong desire, this campground will leave you frustrated/disappointed. INTERNET: I know many people don't camp with intentions of getting or staying online. TIP: If you MUST stay here, try to stay clear of the border (treeline) between the campground and park. Unfortunately, if you are set up anywhere near that park, you will have to deal with noise of footballs games (when in season), early morning lawn mowers, leaf blowers and traffic just on the other side of the treeline. Fortunately, the campground is located next to a park with multiple playgrounds located on it. FOR CAMPERS WITH KIDS: They have a very small playground best suited for maybe 3 kids at a time. There is no way they can fix that unless they do away with a few sites and expand. SIZE: As many of the other reviews have stated, the sites are very small. The convenience of nearby attractions is what makes it a consideration. First of all, Kings Holly Haven RV resort is more of a place to "park your camper with a pad" than a place of substance (though there are concrete pads to set up your chair(s) and they include a picnic table w/ some including a grill as well). Please keep in mind, this is simple honest review from my perspective and not meant to be spiteful in any way. It is our 2nd stay because there were no other vacancies at any other campgrounds. My family and I have frequented many campgrounds in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area over the years and this is our LEAST favorite. There could be nicer or more expensive or whatever, but over all, Dollar for Dollar this is the best park in the smokies pool restrooms shower etc, what is important is water, sewer, cable, 50 amp level site and patio pad. After finding this one, it just feels like home.ġ1. plenty of room to maneuver a 39' 5th wheel.ġ0. Have stayed on at least 6 different sites here and been happy with all. I consider this a campground and not an RV Resort but that's what we want when we're in the smokies.ħ. Their maintenance man loaned me the tools then came to my site and helped me.Ħ. Had to replace gas regulator and did not have proper tools with me. Sites are nice enough and love backing up to the creek and mountain.Ĥ Facilities are good although we don't use themĥ. I keep coming back to Kings Holly Haven for the following reasons.Ģ. I have looked at every campground and RV Park in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville. I do not want to buy a nice 5th wheel and then park it just anywhere. Let me start by saying we are very particularĪbout where we stay.
